and there goes my wife through the gates. this sucks. rad airport though. reagan rules.

so k is home. this random life of mine is back to its routine. my lil' vacation is basically over.
today was dead slow. congress is in recess which means we leave at 5, business casual, and vacations for the members (if they want). finished a long letter today for some guy that wants to cut funding for foreign aid so we can pay for katrina. slim chance.
never fully recovered from being sick. weekend consisted of miles of walking in not the best weather, at all hours of the day. so still have this cough. and if kim doesn't get sick within the next few days, then i will tell brak his thoughts on gay marriage are correct. that is currently our topic of discussion.
sudoku is the best game. sucks for d-town and all their snow. i bet k was happy to see jonas when she got home.
i have got to work out tonight. i stopped when k got here and instead took on extra eating in its place. we seriously didn't eat at home once while she was here, unless you count sky's dinner. it was so wonderful. do you know what you are supposed to do with lettuce if it freezes while in the fridge? well if you guessed running it under cold water in efforts to make sure the lettuce goes back to normal, then you answered wrong.
i think henninger will end up marrying michael. natalie henninger is a staff assistant who works for the office. she is this 22 year old hot blonde chick that looks strikingly like k. she seems, privileged maybe? not necessarily related, but i see a bit of karen's personality in her. snazzy dresser too.
run: 17:00 min, 5.9 spd, 1.66 miles
ride: 29:46 min, 78 rpm, 8.0 miles
i must admit, i do find it odd that so much about a gay lifestyle is a focus on sex. straight people devote some portion of their life to sex also, but a at a much lower rate it seems. i think we are all in this katrina thing together. if we were in their shoes we would expect no less from other’s help. there should be a special emergency federal tax on everyone. don't ask me numbers questions. please divert those to my hired numbers boy ryan. get rid of bush's tax cuts for the time being. have a brave senator propose a bill that requires each senator to cut a certain percentage of their pork spending from recent appropriations. could be a percentage based on how much their state is getting or based on their state's population. they can figure that out. the point is, everyone puts in a little.
kim has a chance to get a new top job.

i just got done running with maren to her apartment and back and it was so freaking fun. was probably over three miles total. if i run with her at night, it might be less of a workout than the run and bike i do now, but it will force me to do it. and i figure the days we don't run for whatever reason, then i could do the gym those days. i still have a lot of making up to do from the weekend. i want so bad to get into shape. even though it seems like the fatter i get, the more k seems to love me.

got more compliments on my blue shirt today than probably total in my life. bad news is that with thirty seconds to go for the day, i got parker ink drawn near the pocket because i'm so smooth. it better come out. on the brighter side: a. tomorrow is office jean day; b. two o'clock friday because the senate isn't in session and a computer program that really isn't that imperative to our work will be out of service at 2, so our of chief of staff said we might as well not be there since we can't use it; and c. i'm buying a cd and/or dvd this weekend and getting triple points on my replay card. plus i have a $5 off coupon.
got some letters back today with corrections/revisions. one wasn't that bad and i actually finished and turned in the second draft today. the other biotch basically needs a complete revamp. we saw a guy yesterday wearing these jeans and he still had the long sticker with the size and brand down the back/inner thigh area. wanted to take a pic but couldn't get the camera ready quick enough.
my office peeps (nate, amber, mike, and will) like to go downstairs for breakfast. then i eat my lunch from home (i try to bring 80% of the week) with brak or emily. but then my peeps do a 'soda-clock' at about 3 or 4. so it sucks because not only are all the wonders of the senate restaurants very tempting, but i also want to really get in good with these people. so i have to socialize like that some of the time to be really part of the team and not just these people's intern. i have much more on that intern subject, but another day maybe. talk to maren about it cuz i told her.
